I checked out the history of WS sweeps and found it tied the previous low differential of the ‘50 Yankees-Phillies series when a only 16 runs were scored altogether!
The remarkable thing about this particular series sweep is that it had the 6th-most total runs scored (out of 19, and only 2 runs less than last year’s Sox-Cards matchup), and between two teams freely considered to be anemic at the plate to boot.
To have as many runs scored (34) as there were and have a differential of 6, translates into almost 6 runs scored to get 1 run of difference, the highest number needed in series history (the average is less than half that).

Six-run differential for four games?

Good stuff, Bob.
I’ll be back with a pretty neat little White Sox anecdote. A personal story I think people will find amusing.
