So Long, Theo
Theo Epstein is General Manager of the Boston Red Sox no longer.
Pedro, Theo (heck Byrnes and McCracken too) and I am sure Manny can’t be too far behind.
Must be a proud day for Lucky.
I’m sick.

I’m in. Let me collect my thoughts, get rational and we’ll be in touch.
The column on Sunday (CHB via LL) was the nail in the coffin. I’m convinced of it.

Behold the inevitable end results of Larry Lucchino believing that he is the man primarily responsible for 2004’s World Series victory, not Ramirez, Ortiz, Shilling, Martinez, or Epstein. Truely, Lucchino is a legend in his own mind.
If we’re lucky, we’ll pick up DePodesta, but I think that’s unlikely. Depo is probably allergic to ownership that meddles in things beyond their ken, given how McCourt jerked him around, and I could hardly blame him if he decided he didn’t need to work for Lucchino.
