Bronson Arroyo to the Reds
Just came over WEEI, Bronson Arroyo traded to the Reds for Wily Mo Pena.
I’ll have more on this later tonight.

Interesting move. I’m not a fan of trading starting pitching usually, but the Sox had a surplus of it and this gives them nice power off the bench, a solid fourth outfielder and a player to platoon Trot with when lefties throw.
More than that, Pena could be the Sox rightfielder of the future. He does need to learn the strike zone - way too many strikeouts.
I have some regret about giving up Bronson though. He ate up innings and was a pretty useful swing pitcher, ie. he is comfortable starting as well as throing in relief.
