THEY DID IT (AGAIN!)
THE BOSTON RED SOX WIN THEIR SEVENTH WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP, AND SECOND IN FOUR YEARS.
When it happened 4 years ago, it seemed like an odd dream. This time around? It feels like it actually happened.
Still, it’s difficult to shake that cold, nagging feeling that we are stuck in the Twilight Zone. These are not your fathers’ Red Sox. This is not the team that is known for failing in incredibly theatric fashion. This team, our team, the team that we have lived and died with since we were brought into this world…they are the premier team of the 21st Century.
Are we witnessing a dynasty in progress? Maybe. One thing is for certain: we should never take this for granted, and remember that those before us were not so lucky. There is much more to say, but right now I cannot compose a cogent thought. It’s time to soak this in. Hug your friends and loved ones. Sip some champagne. Reflect on it. Savor it.
Congratulations to the 2007 Boston Red Sox.

I am a Yankee fan but I do believe that there was not one team in all of baseball that could hang with the Red Sox this year. I enjoyed watching you guys, congradulations from a real sports fan, and yes the Yankees will try and take you down next year, but that is what makes baseball so much fun.

Mike, next year will be a fun battle as always. Both of these teams are set up nicely for the future. I think the Yankees made the right choice in picking Girardi as their next manager.

Big John Studd continues to upsatge the Red Sox accomplishments with his general badd-assery.
But seriously, congrats to the Red Sox for giving us an amazing season, truly one for the ages.
And also thank you Jimmy (and yes, even you Zach), for giving me a great Blog (and believe me, great and Blog are two words i NEVER use together). I look forward to reading this blog again next year!
