Lugo has been getting on base just above league average at .349. Yeah, he has shown no power (.331 SLG), but he's not making outs at the pace he did last year. His 2008 matches up pretty well with his career averages, so offensively the Red Sox have what they paid for. The defense has been bad, but let's not be so reactionary.
