Bryce Brentz. I was considering him for the last few spots on the list. He was picked apart by NY-Penn League pitching; it was ugly. Scouts like his power potential, but he’ll need to translate the tools into results this year to climb back up on the list.
Thanks for the knowledge. Since you seem to be as good and informative a source as any I’ve found, I’d like to ask your opinion of another guy I’ve heard good things about. Like Jacobs, I believe he was a pretty good high school football player. A 1B, I believe, by the name of Broderick Perkins.
Kendrick Perkins, similar to Jacobs in that they both had scholarships to elite NCAA football programs lineup up before the Sox swooped in. The main difference between the the two players in Perkins hits from the left side of the plate. Perkins played CF in high school. Another guy with very high offensive potential.

Towards the bottom of the list it really started looking sad. Is it like this for all teams? Cause I’ve heard people say the sox’s farm system isn’t too great.

This list is a tad outdated, I need to fix that. But yes, most teams do not have sure-fire studs at the bottom of their lists. The Sox’ minor league system is probably middle of the road, at this point.
